I brought my Chubbies swim shorts on a beach trip, and they kind of proved what I already thought about them. I’ve always had it in my head that Chubbies are great all-day swim shorts, and after wearing these in and out of the water, I felt validated. They dried fast and never got that heavy, clingy feeling after swimming.

The fit was comfortable the whole time too, with no annoying rubbing while swimming or walking around afterward. The pockets were actually useful, which I appreciated more than I expected. Basically, they were easy to wear at the beach, by the pool, and just hanging around, which is exactly why I figured I’d like them in the first place.

I genuinely like Chubbies shorts, and the rewards program is a nice little bonus. Nice, but not amazing. You do earn points, which is cool, but it feels like it takes a while, like a while, before they actually turn into something you can really use.

I also had to poke around a bit to figure out how to apply my discount at checkout. It wasn’t a huge deal, not a huge deal at all, but it could definitely be more straightforward. I’ll still shop there again, but the rewards program is average for me.

I wore these out while running a couple errands after lunch, and the pockets were decent enough to hold my phone without any issue. I do kind of wish they were a little deeper, though, because I kept checking to make sure my phone was still there

My order did show up on time, so no drama there, but the packaging was a bit of a letdown. The shorts came in this very plain mailer and were a little wrinkled when I opened it, which felt mildly tragic considering the price. Nothing was damaged, thankfully, so it wasn’t a disaster. I just expected the whole thing to feel a little nicer or more put together. Not bad, just not exactly a grand unboxing moment.

I liked that some of the shorts have a fun, different look, but a few of the designs are a bit too loud for everyday wear. I was hoping they’d be more versatile, so I’m a little disappointed and would appreciate some kind of compensation or credit to make up for it.

Popped in and tried on some shorts, and they ended up being just what I needed. The staff were chill about it all, which made the whole thing easy. Left feeling good about it.

I also got a little annoyed because the answers I found about sizing and shipping felt inconsistent depending on where I looked, which made it harder to feel confident before ordering. I’ve washed this a bunch of times now and it’s still holding up great. stuff like this always ends up falling apart after a few washes, but this one has stayed tough.

I do like the shorts, like I said, they’re comfortable and I’m happy with them overall. The discounts are just kind of hit or miss. A promo code worked for me once, then the next time it didn’t, which was a little annoying. Not a bad experience, like I said, I just wish the sales and codes were a bit clearer.

I grabbed a pair from Chubbies and I’m fully convinced these are some of the comfiest things I own. The waistband doesn’t dig in at all, the fabric stays soft even after wearing them all day, and they’re basically perfect for lounging around or running quick errands. Zero complaints so far. I’d bet my life I’ll be wearing these constantly
